There are some limitations; in bedrooms where TVs are generally mounted higher for instance, this introduces the chance for a horizontal wooden beam blocking access from top to bottom, meaning alternatives such as power point relocation or floating shelves may be needed.

Brick walls are little more difficult to determine suitability for running cables behind. In standalone houses, some double brick cavity walls do allow enough room for cable access, but this must be determined before any work commences.
